Dark empty hotel room at night

Room 306

Room 306 at the Crescent Hotel & Spa sits on the third floor of the building's original 1886 wing. It is one of the rooms most frequently requested by paranormal investigators, and one of the most consistently active in the hotel's documented history.

The activity in Room 306 tends to fall into two categories: auditory phenomena and direct contact. Guests report hearing footsteps in the room when no one else is present, knocking on the walls in patterns that don't correspond to any mechanical explanation, and voices — usually indistinct, but occasionally clear enough to make out words.

During the Paranormal Lockdown event held at the Crescent, investigators spent several hours in Room 306 conducting EVP sessions and attempting direct communication. The results were among the most compelling of the entire investigation — responses that appeared to be intelligent and contextually appropriate, rather than random noise.

What makes Room 306 particularly notable in the archive is the consistency of the reports. Guests who have no knowledge of the room's reputation describe the same phenomena, in the same areas of the room, at similar times of night. The corner near the window is mentioned most frequently.

Whatever is in Room 306 seems aware that it is being observed. The activity increases when you acknowledge it directly.

The Crescent Hotel's staff are matter-of-fact about Room 306. They neither sensationalize the reports nor dismiss them. It is simply one of the rooms where things happen — and has been for as long as anyone can remember.
