Basin Park Room 306

Room 306 isn't typically one of the rooms that comes up often when talking about the most active rooms at the Basin Park Hotel. Generally on the 3rd floor, its the hall way and rooms 307 to 310 with people seeing cowboy type apparitions standing next to their beds. 306 does have its own reports of activity however with the most common being things turning off or on by themselves.

Room 306 is actually the one room at the Basin Park where I had an experience that left me with chills at 5am one morning. I was participating in the Paranormal Lockdown at the Crescent hotel that night. The event ended at 3am and I had returned to my room at the Basin, room 306.

I had fallen asleep with the bathroom light on — I always do this in unfamiliar places. At some point around 5am I was woken up by the overhead light in the room blasting on at full brightness. I sat up, confused and groggy, and looked around the room. No one was there. I got up, turned the light off, and went back to bed.

About twenty minutes later, the light came back on again. Same thing — full brightness, no one in the room, no explanation. I got up again and this time I noticed something that genuinely unsettled me: the light switch on the wall had physically moved from the off position to the on position.

One can only assume the light blasting me in my sleep was connected to this light switch changing positions.

This could be chalked up as an electrical issue, but it still leaves room to wonder about the switch physically changing position with me being the only one in the room.
